WHERE THERE BE DRAGONS

Dragons programs are authentic, rugged and profound learning adventures that expose the beautiful and complex realities of the countries in which we travel. Featuring extended itineraries, Dragons programs encourage deep immersion into strikingly different physical and cultural landscapes, combining the best in experiential education, travel, service learning, and physically and intellectually challenging experiences.

While Dragons programs vary in their focus - with some trekking and wilderness intensive, others strong on service and development studies, and still others language-oriented - all Dragons journeys are designed above all else to be fun, safe and honest educational experiences.

On ancient maps Dragons were drawn to symbolize the unknown, and to travel beyond the familiar world was to go "where there be dragons." There are people who live their lives for adventure, exploration and knowledge - people who are willing to venture into the unknown for the sake of discovery. For those people, we offer incredible experiences. We hope you are one of them. Where do you want to go?

Rocky Mountain School of Photography

At Rocky Mountain School of Photography (RMSP.com) our mission is to provide more than an exchange of information in a classroom. As a family-owned school that believes in the power of endless potential, we strive to educate, inspire and foster long-term growth in fun and supportive learning environments. Our instructors are engaging, professional, and focused. Our educational philosophy is built on the principle that with the right training, every student’s goals are attainable. This “people first” approach to education has enabled thousands of individuals to improve their technique and further their abilities. This is just what happens when education is your lifestyle - as it has been ours since opening our doors in 1989.

Whether you join us for our one-of-a-kind Career Training program in Missoula, Montana, a Foundation or Travel Workshop or a Photo Weekend anywhere around the country, our success depends on yours. We invite you to explore our three educational programs here at rmsp.com.

Our Career Training program offers unique immersion style education in the technical, aesthetic and business aspects of photography. Our program prepares people for a career in photography through hands-on learning, progressive development, support and mentoring.

Workshops at RMSP offer a wide range of experiences, provide solid photographic instruction and cover basic to advanced topics. Courses take place in our hometown of Missoula, in national parks and at many other beautiful locations around the world.

Ideal for beginner to intermediate amateur photographers, our Photo Weekends program visits select cities around the country to deliver two days of solid education in a fun-filled environment. Photo Weekends allow students to choose their own curriculum and offer an excellent introduction to our style of teaching.
